I've been using Advanced Voice Mode (AVM) and it keeps following up every response with something like "...and if there's anything else you would like to chat about, let me know." It's really frustrating because it makes having a natural conversation pretty much impossible. Is this something everyone is experiencing?

It sounds like the problem might be related to how AVM manages context. From what I've seen, it tends to forget things said a couple of turns back, which makes it hard to build a deeper conversation. They might have opted for a version that isn't as good at retaining information as it could be. It could also be a technical issue with how audio inputs are processed compared to text.
I try using AVM as a notetaker while driving, and every time I ask it to be quiet, it confirms but then interrupts me as soon as I take a breath. It's annoying!
I used to find AVM quite engaging, but now it's just repetitive. It keeps asking the same things and it's turned into a bit of an annoyance instead of the fun experience it used to be.
If you're looking for something with more depth, you might want to stick to regular voice mode. It's way better for conversations and feels more powerful.
I just messed around with it too, and it's kind of a mixed bag. The speech patterns feel a bit more natural with some pauses, but the constant question at the end gets annoying. Also, I noticed the voice sounded different than what I'm used to with Read Aloud. It was similar but not quite right.
Right? It definitely had a different vibe before.
Honestly, I think OpenAI has really dropped the ball with this. It just feels like everything is headed downhill lately.
Yeah, I felt that change in the speech pattern a few weeks back, and honestly, I'm not sure if I like it either.
