Hey everyone! I came across a second-hand gaming PC that I'm considering buying for $1300 AUD. Here's the specs: Ryzen 9 5950X, 128GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, RTX 4070 12GB, MSI B550 ATX motherboard, Corsair 1000W PSU, 240mm AIO cooler with Noctua fans, and a 2TB M.2 SSD, all in a Phanteks ATX case. My main questions are: Is it a good setup for gaming? Is it outdated? Also, would it be possible to transfer all the components to a newer case? Alternatively, would I be better off spending around $1600 AUD on a new pre-built PC? Looking forward to your feedback!

Honestly, I'd recommend going with a new pre-built if you can. You really don't need 128GB of RAM or a 1000W PSU unless you're planning some extreme overclocking or future expansions. Something like a Ryzen 5 7600X paired with an RX 7800XT would be a far more balanced build for gaming and might keep you happier in the long run!
If you compare this to new pre-builts, you'll find entry-level systems here start at $1500 AUD for less powerful components. For gaming, the 5950X performs well, but it's also fantastic for things like video editing due to its multi-core performance. The RTX 4070 is a great GPU too! Just keep in mind that going with a second-hand PC means you might not have future upgrade options since it's on the AM4 platform, while new systems are on AM5. Plus, a new rig comes with a warranty, which is something to think about.
