Looking for Tips to Build a Budget Gaming PC

Hey everyone! I'm planning to build my first PC and I'm hoping to stay within a budget of around $600, but I can stretch it to $650 if necessary. I really want to be able to play FPS games like CS2, Valorant, and Fortnite at a solid frame rate. Do you have any suggestions for parts or builds that would fit my needs? Thanks in advance!

It might be a bit different, but have you thought about getting a mini PC like a NUC? They’re pretty compact and you can find some decent AMD models with good integrated graphics that fall around your budget. Check out the Minisforum machines on Amazon.

I'd recommend going with a Ryzen 5 7500F and an RX 6600, paired with 16GB of DDR5 RAM. That setup should get you pretty good performance on those games!

I totally agree! That's actually very similar to what I just built myself.

Honestly, those games can run pretty well even on integrated graphics with the settings cranked up. You might be just fine without needing super high-end parts.

Consider visiting PCPartPicker—it’s an excellent resource for checking compatibility issues between parts. It’s not foolproof, but it's a good starting point to avoid any major headaches with your build.
