Is 80°C too hot for my GTX 2070 Super while gaming?

Hey everyone! I've been noticing that my GTX 2070 Super GPU temperature spikes to 80°C or higher while gaming, even in less demanding titles like Disciples: Liberation. This often happens right in the main menu, and I can't figure out why. I have a 240Hz Full HD monitor, so I'm wondering if it's trying to push the FPS as high as possible. I turned off V-SYNC, but that hasn't helped, and my GPU sometimes runs at 100% usage. I didn't face this issue a couple of years ago with the same setup, so what's changed? Also, I've read suggestions about capping the framerate, but I can't do that in-game or through the Nvidia Control Panel without it crashing. Any insights would be appreciated!

80°C is really not a big deal for a GTX 2070 Super, especially under load. That's within the safe operating temperature range, and unless you're experiencing other problems, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I totally get that, but how is it okay for my GPU to hit 100% in an older game? It feels excessive to me.
