Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 15 3583 by adding more RAM. Currently, I have 4 GB of DDR4 SDRAM installed. I found this RAM stick online (https://www.mediaexpert.pl/komputery-i-tablety/podzespoly-komputerowe/pamieci-ram/ddr4-sodimm-8gb-2666-cl19-1?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADoIO6-Ma56O82I9luAaxyv4MAO9O) and I'm wondering if it's compatible with my laptop. Can I just add this to the existing RAM, or do I need to replace it? Any help would be appreciated!

Just a heads up, before you make any hardware changes, make sure to back up your data. It’s pretty straightforward to swap RAM sticks; you can typically find detailed video guides on YouTube that walk you through the whole process. Just remember to turn off your laptop and remove the battery if it’s an option!
You can definitely upgrade your laptop’s RAM! Your Dell Inspiron 15 3583 can handle up to 16 GB of RAM using 2 x 8 GB 2400 MHz SODIMM sticks. The RAM you linked is 2666 MHz, which is a bit faster than the maximum supported speed, but it should work fine; the system will just run it at 2400 MHz. For a solid upgrade, I’d suggest getting two 8 GB sticks of 2400 MHz RAM. Here’s an example link for compatible RAM: [link]. Also, there are plenty of tutorials online that show you how to replace or add RAM, so you should be good to go!
Thanks for confirming this! I was worried about the speed compatibility.
Great info! I appreciate the links as well!
