Hey everyone, I'm currently using a low-end Ryzen 3 5300G, and I noticed that my CPU usage hovers around 10%-30%. When I decide to upgrade to a more powerful CPU, will I have more headroom for CPU usage, or will it just mean a stronger CPU that still operates within that same percentage range?

Indeed! A computer usually operates at full capacity, so if it’s using only 10-30%, it's basically idling, waiting for tasks. Since your GPU is at 99%, it might be struggling to keep up with the CPU. An upgrade in GPU would definitely help if you're aiming for higher FPS!
It really depends on what you're doing! CPU usage can be low if your system is waiting for data. For instance, if you’re just web browsing, it makes sense that usage is low. Maybe your background services are hogging resources too, which keeps the usage up even when you’re idling.
Your CPU will only ramp up when it has to, like when gaming or processing data. Newer games can really push CPU usage, sometimes hitting 100%. If you want better performance, consider upgrading your GPU or tweaking the graphics settings to give the GPU a break.
Yeah, I’ve had this PC for years, and I've loaded it with background services, so my CPU usage stays around 10-30%.
