How can I revive my old Samsung tablet that won’t turn on?

I'm struggling to get my old Samsung tablet from around 2011-2012 to turn on. It was working fine until I attempted a software update a year ago, which didn't go well. After that, I just left it alone. Now, I want to use it again, but for the past month, it refuses to turn on. Most of the time, the screen stays black. Occasionally, it briefly shows the battery page but turns off again when I try to reboot it by pressing the volume down and power button. The charging seems to work since it only shows the battery page when plugged in, but it doesn't indicate the battery level at all. There's a loading animation on the battery screen, but it's frozen. Just to add, this tablet has an attachable physical keyboard and only has a power and volume button—nothing else. Any tips?

Have you tried leaving it on charge for a long period? Sometimes, if the battery is super low, it needs a few hours of trickle charging to even start up again. Plug it in and wait for a display—if it powers on, then it should start charging again. It might take a few tries to get that battery to where it can actually turn on.

I've left it plugged in for hours on end, even 24 hours once, but it still doesn't show anything except for that battery page when I force restart it. It's frustrating!
