What’s the best upgrade for my setup with a $500 budget?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC setup and I have a budget of $500. Currently, I have an Intel Core i5-11600K processor, an Asus PRIME H570-PLUS motherboard, 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM, and an Asus ROG STRIX GTX 1060 video card. I mainly use my PC for Plex streaming, office tasks, photo editing, and some occasional gaming. I've just replaced my motherboard because the old one died, and I'm considering upgrading the GPU first. Any suggestions on what I should prioritize with my budget?

If you're sold on a GPU upgrade, you could sell your GTX 1060 for about $90. That would give you more to work with! Maybe look into getting a 9070 and flashing the 9070 XT BIOS for a better deal.

Definitely look into upgrading your GPU! The 9060XT 16GB variant is around $350, which would be a solid upgrade for gaming and other tasks.

Honestly, I don’t think you need a better GPU just for Plex streaming. Your GTX 1060 should handle that fine. If you want to boost performance without spending too much, consider an NVMe SSD for faster storage; Intel's QuickSync is great for Plex, too.

Keep an eye out for a 5070 around the $500 mark. That would provide the best FPS for your setup. But, just wondering...where are you finding 5070s for that price? I’m only seeing 5060Tis and 9060XTs under €500.
