How Can I Find Out What My PC Specs Are?

Hey everyone! I have a bit of a newbie question. I have a custom-built PC that my friend helped me with, but now I'm diving into making my own repairs, like replacing a fan. This experience made me realize that I actually don't know much about my own system's specs, which isn't ideal. I don't have a list of the components used either. Could anyone point me in the right direction for finding out what parts are inside my PC? Thanks a lot!

There are several easy ways to find your specs. You can type "Device Manager" in the search bar and it will list all your hardware. If you’re using Windows 11, you can also check the settings under "Info" for general hardware details. For a more in-depth look, try typing "System Information" into the Windows search; it’s not the most user-friendly, but it gives a lot of detail.

Does that also show the MHz for CPU and RAM? It's been a while since I've checked.

To check your specs, you can press the Windows key and type "dxdiag". Hit enter and it will bring up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool which shows you a lot of info about your system. Alternatively, open Task Manager (you can press Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check the Performance tab for hardware details like CPU and RAM.
