My Wi-Fi Suddenly Stopped Working, Help!

I've got a built-in Wi-Fi adapter on my motherboard, and I'm using Windows 10. Out of the blue today, my internet just won't work. Everything shows it's connected, but websites and apps like Steam just say they took too long to respond. I've tried all sorts of Wi-Fi fixes, but nothing seems to work, and I'm really at a loss about what to do. My Wi-Fi adapter is the TP-LINK Archer T5E AC1200 and it still appears in my device manager, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

Just to clarify, when you say you’ve done all these ‘tricks,’ have you completely powered down your modem? Sometimes a simple restart isn’t enough, and doing a full power cycle helps. Also, double-check your Wi-Fi settings to see if anything was changed accidentally.

I’m not sure what ‘tricks’ you’ve tried, so let’s go over the basics! First, reboot your computer and your modem/router. After that, check to see if the connection improves. If it doesn’t, run the network troubleshooter built into Windows. As a last resort, you might want to uninstall the Wi-Fi adapter from Device Manager and reboot to let Windows reinstall it. That often clears up any weird issues.
