Which CPU Should I Choose for My New Build?

I'm putting together a new PC and already have an RTX 5070 TI and an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360. I'm having a tough time deciding on a CPU to pair with my setup. My old machine has an R9 3900X, which has been great, but now I've upgraded to an ultrawide 1440p 144hz monitor, and I think it's time for a total refresh! Any suggestions? By the way, the budget isn't an issue as I'm not planning to build another PC for at least six years. I usually game a lot and tend to keep a ton of Chrome tabs open on my second monitor. Thanks!

For your needs, the 7800X3D or 9800X3D are fantastic options. Both handle gaming wonderfully and are versatile for productivity tasks. Though you can consider Intel as well, AMD has been crushing it in terms of gaming performance lately. Just make sure you have enough RAM for those heavy Chrome sessions!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll make sure to check if my RAM is up to par.

If budgeting isn't an issue, I recommend going for the 9800X3D on AM5. It's currently one of the best choices out there for gaming!
