Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build a PC primarily for 1440p gaming and some content creation in the coming months. I'm caught between two options: the Intel Core Ultra 5 235 and the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X. I've also noticed that the Ryzen 7 9700X is a bit more pricey than the Core Ultra 5. I've seen benchmarks indicating that the 235 outperforms the 9600X in nearly every category, but the Intel CPU doesn't fare well against the 9700X. The prices are about 215€ for the 9600X, 260€ for the Core Ultra 5, and 280€ for the 9700X. For a few months, I won't have a dedicated GPU due to budget constraints, so I'm leaning toward the Intel for its superior integrated graphics. I'm not particularly concerned about upgradeability since I intend to use this setup until it can't run newer games anymore, hopefully for over seven years. Also, price-wise, motherboards for both AM5 and LGA 1851 are pretty much the same. Any insights or recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Interesting points! I checked out some benchmarks too, the one from CPU Benchmark seems legit. Also, what are your thoughts on the integrated graphics? I've heard from several sources, including AI systems, that the Intel integrated GPU is stronger, which could be significant since you mentioned you might not get a dedicated GPU right away. How much difference do you think that will make?
From what I've seen, the benchmarks can be a bit misleading. In gaming, the 9600X generally provides better performance, and in content creation, the results can vary, but Intel usually has an edge. If your goal is primarily gaming, I'd recommend going with the 9600X for now, especially considering future upgrade options. The 9700X could be a solid choice if you plan to dive deep into content creation later on.
