I'm trying to set up a small bedside computer for watching movies, but I'm facing some challenges with connecting my old 30-inch Cinema HD display. My micro PC lacks a DisplayPort, and I'm wondering if I can use a Dual Link DVI connection from the monitor via DisplayPort to HDMI to get it to work with my PC's HDMI port. Have you tried a direct HDMI to DVI-D cable? It's pretty inexpensive, like this one: [Amazon Basics Cable](https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Adapter-Cable-1-Pack/dp/B014I8UQJY) for about $7. It should solve your problem without needing multiple adapters.

Just a heads up, I think that's a single link DVI, not Dual Link. You might need that for resolutions over 1920x1200.
