Image deleted permanently from WordPress but is still on web server

I have deleted a large amount of images from my media library. I checked some posts where these images were used and they are still there. If i open the image in a new tab, the image is still accessible on my web server. I checked the WP-Posts table in the database and this image is not showing up in there anymore. It seems like wordpress has deleted the post record for the image from the database but has not deleted the file from the server itself. What can i do now? Is there a plugin that will delete the image from the server if it detects that it is not part of the wordpress database?
