Help Needed for Building a PC with an RTX 3090

I haven't built a PC in over 10 years, and I'm getting back into it! I'm planning to start with a single RTX 3090, with the potential to upgrade to dual 3090s later. However, I'm stuck on which motherboard and processor to choose. I'm looking for suggestions that would keep the total cost for both components under $600. Any recommendations?

If you're open to Intel, you might consider the MSI MPG Z490 or Z590 paired with an Intel i7-10700K. This combo also fits well within your budget and offers great performance for gaming and heavy tasks like LLM operations.

Thanks! I’ll definitely look into the Intel setup too. It's good to have options!

First off, it's great to hear you're getting back into PC building! For a single RTX 3090, I'd suggest looking at something like the ASUS ROG Strix X570-E gaming motherboard paired with a Ryzen 7 5800X. Together, they should be around your budget limit and provide excellent performance for an LLM PC. Plus, they leave some room for your future upgrade to dual GPUs!

That sounds like a solid combo! Just make sure you have a good cooling solution for that Ryzen. It'll keep things running smoothly.
