I've noticed something strange going on in my organization – it seems like nobody can send Giphy images in Microsoft Teams anymore. I checked the admin center, and Giphy is still enabled, but both the desktop and web versions of Teams have lost the option for sending GIFs completely. I looked at the Microsoft health portal and couldn't find any alerts or updates about this issue. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah, this happened to us, too. We initially thought it was just a firewall issue, but it seems broader than that. It’s crazy that we’re stuck without GIFs now. Some users are even getting 'GIF service not available' errors.
We're dealing with the same issue on our end! We're a GCC tenant, and it seems the GIF option just vanished from both the client and web app. No updates from Microsoft yet either. It's nice to know we aren't the only ones in this predicament.
For those who are worried, it looks like GIFs were working for some users earlier today but then disappeared. We've opened a support ticket to look into this. Fingers crossed for a quick fix!
I noticed some issues with Microsoft connected experiences as well. Some users can't play or insert YouTube videos in 365 apps. Is it just me noticing this or is it all connected?
I think I might have a workaround for you! You can use the shortcut "Windows key + ;" to access GIFs. Just tested this on a GCC tenant. Some people have reported issues still, but it might be worth a shot!
I tried that, but it just greys out when I pick one and doesn't send it. Ugh!
