Help! Windows Update is Causing Blue Screen Errors

I've been trying to update my Windows, but I keep running into a problem. When I attempt to update, I get an error message saying, "Something went wrong. Try to re-open settings later." I've looked into various solutions, including using regedit, checking services, managing devices, and even downloading an ISO from Microsoft, but nothing has worked. I either get errors stating that "the file doesn't exist or the service is not starting in the response time," or I end up with a blue screen right before the update reaches 100%. I'm worried about losing my data—do I have to wipe everything, or is there another fix?

To diagnose the blue screen issues more effectively, you should check if you can access Windows normally or through Safe Mode. Look in the C:WindowsMinidump directory for any dump files; these are crash logs that could help. If you find any, zip them up and upload them to a reliable file sharing site like mediafire. Also, follow the guide on setting the dump type to Small Memory Dump if you need to collect more dumps later.

It might be useful to check the Event Viewer for any critical or error events related to the blue screen. This can give you more insight into whether it’s a software issue from the recent Windows update or something hardware-related. Just be aware that the error codes can be tricky to interpret.

Hey, don't forget to submit your Minidump files after you locate them! That way, anyone helping can analyze the crash logs and get a clearer picture of what's causing the blue screens.
