I'm looking to upgrade my PC and could really use some advice. I've got a budget of around $1,200 and I want to upgrade my CPU, motherboard, and RAM. I'm considering the Ryzen 9 9950X3D but I'm unsure about which motherboard to pair it with. Also, I need to account for the cost of a new Windows license. The GPU I currently use is a 4080, and I mainly play Escape from Tarkov along with a few other games. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you're considering the 9950X3D, just be aware it might not be the best pick for gaming. The 9800X3D can deliver better performance in that area. Also, you might not need to buy a new Windows license if your existing one is linked to your Microsoft account; I've done a similar upgrade without needing a new copy!
For your setup, I suggest looking into the Ryzen 7 9800X3D instead of the 9950X3D since the latter mainly excels in productivity tasks, not so much in gaming. Pair it with a B850 motherboard and go for some 6000MHz CL30 RAM. 2x16GB should be plenty for gaming unless you want to future-proof with 2x32GB. Check this listing I found: [link].
That link looks solid! I've heard good things about those components.
Ah, I meant the 9950X3D – my mistake. Thanks for the tip about Windows!
