I'm having a persistent issue with my Windows 10 PC crashing shortly after I start certain applications, particularly games. The crashes often occur within five minutes of launching these programs, and I notice that disk usage spikes to 100%, but the Task Manager doesn't show any processes consuming significant disk resources. I've checked the Event Viewer and see an error related to "Dump file creation failed" (Event ID 161). Interestingly, the system runs fine with applications like Discord, Steam, and Opera GX. This issue has become more frequent today, occurring several times within the past two weeks. As a temporary fix, I've found that running games in windowed mode helps, but I'm not sure how long that will work. I've already tried running DISM and SFC without any issues detected, cleared temporary files, and disabled Windows Search and SysMain services. My specs include an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 16GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card, and a 954GB SSD. If anyone needs more information, feel free to ask!

Have you checked if your pagefile is located on the C drive? If so, consider moving it to a secondary drive. This could potentially help with dump file creation during crashes. It's possible that there might be an issue with your system drive if it works. The dump file could also provide more insight into the problem.
I don’t have any secondary drives, unfortunately.
