Is My TV Broken or Just Having Issues?

I've got a TV problem that's got me scratching my head. There's a lit corner on the screen, but the rest is completely black. The backlight seems to work just fine, and the audio is still functional. I even tried hitting the reset button but nothing changed. I let the power drain for about 5 minutes—was that enough? Do you think this is fixable, or am I looking at a broken TV?

You might want to check if you provided enough details for someone to help, though. If the rest of the screen is black but one corner is working, that’s a tricky situation. Do you have a picture of the screen? That could help someone identify if it's a common issue or not.

I just realized I forgot to include a picture. Here's what it looks like:

Maybe it’ll help clarify what's going on.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a faulty t-con board or perhaps an issue with your address board. If you got a jolt or something on the side, maybe a cable just got knocked loose. Just so you know, the LED backlight works independently from the screen itself, which is why you can still hear audio while the video is out.
