Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my kid's PC because it's been experiencing some GPU problems like pink pixels and monitor shutdowns. I'm already swapping in 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, an MSI Mag Pano case, and an MSI Mag AIO cooler since it was a prebuilt CyberPower. Now, I need to replace the failing GPU. I'm not very experienced with graphics cards, so I'm hoping to get some advice on what would be a sensible upgrade from the RTX 3070 Ti. I want a GPU with at least 16GB of VRAM, and it needs to handle games like GTA, Red Dead, Far Cry, and Call of Duty comfortably on a 3440x1440 180Hz monitor. What would you recommend for Nvidia and Radeon options? Thanks!

I used to have a 3070 Ti too, but I was running into out-of-memory issues at 1440p. Upgrading to the 4080 Super has been a game-changer for me. Now, I'm playing on a 4K monitor without a hitch!
Before you splurge on a new GPU, you might want to double-check your monitor and cables first. It sounds like the GPU is the issue, but testing those could save you a headache. As for good upgrade options, the RTX 5070, 5070 Ti, 9070, or 9070 XT would all be good fits, depending on budget and game resolution.
If your budget allows, I'd suggest looking into the Radeon RX 9070 XT or the RTX 5070 Ti. Both should offer a solid upgrade from the 3070 Ti and handle your games well.
