I'm trying to figure out whether my Ryzen 7 9850X3D is running hotter than it should. It sits around 60–63°C at idle and reaches the high 70s while gaming. I've already applied a -25 undervolt, and the room has air conditioning. My system uses an ROG Strix B850-F Gaming WiFi motherboard, RTX 5070 OC graphics card, 32GB of Klevv Cras V CL30-6000 memory, a Thermalright Wonder Vision 360 cooler, a Lian Li O11 Vision Compact case, and a Corsair RM850x ATX 3.1 power supply. Are these temperatures normal, or should I adjust fan curves or other settings?

Those temperatures are completely normal. Idle readings are not especially important because modern CPUs constantly adjust clocks and voltage. High 70s while gaming is comfortably safe, so there’s no urgent cooling problem to fix.
Gaming is fine for checking real-world temperatures, but it isn’t a full CPU stress test. For a worst-case test, use a reputable CPU benchmark or stress-testing tool and monitor the temperature, clock speeds, and stability. In normal gaming, high-70s temperatures are nothing to worry about.
The processor is designed to operate safely up to around 95°C. Since you’re staying well below that during gaming, lowering the temperature further won’t improve performance or meaningfully extend the practical lifespan of the CPU. You can simply leave the current settings as they are.
You could increase the fan speeds if you want lower temperatures, but it will also make the system louder. Your current results are already good; the main thing to watch is whether sustained heavy workloads push the CPU into the mid-90s.
