Bluetooth Headphones Disconnect Immediately on Windows 11

Whenever I connect Bluetooth headphones to my Windows 11 PC, they disconnect almost instantly. I've tested several different pairs and they all behave the same way, while Bluetooth mice connect and stay connected normally. I'm using a TP-Link UB500 Bluetooth adapter. What should I check to fix this?

Try installing the Bluetooth driver directly from TP-Link’s support page for the UB500 rather than relying only on Device Manager. Windows can say the driver is up to date even when the adapter’s manufacturer has a newer or more compatible version. After installing it, restart the PC, remove the headphones from Bluetooth settings, and pair them again. You can also check Device Manager for the adapter’s power-management settings and disable the option that lets Windows turn it off to save power.
