Canadian domain registrars with separate user and billing roles?

I'm working under a "buy Canadian" requirement and would prefer to move away from GoDaddy. I need a registrar that supports individual user accounts rather than shared credentials, ideally with separate permissions for billing and domain administration. Hover appears to use shared accounts, while EasyDNS may not offer the role separation I need. I'm also considering providers outside the US, such as Gandi, but I'm not familiar with them. What Canadian or otherwise suitable registrars support these features?

We’re evaluating Webnames.ca for the same reason. Their paid management toolkit provides multiple account types and role permissions, so an administrator can separate domain management from other responsibilities.

OpenSRS could be worth considering if you’re willing to use a reseller setup. It provides a full management panel where an administrator can define account roles, although there may be an additional annual or per-domain cost.

Gandi has historically been well regarded and appears to support the needed account structure, but its pricing and ownership have changed significantly. I’d compare its current costs and policies carefully rather than assuming older recommendations still apply.

That’s my concern too—the company has reportedly become much more expensive after its ownership changes, so it may no longer be the best-value option.

FullHost supports multiple users, and their .ca pricing is competitive. I’m not certain whether billing can be assigned as a separate role, so it would be worth confirming that with their support team before switching.

Webnames.ca is probably the strongest fit. They’re based in British Columbia, are widely used by corporate and government customers, and offer a multi-user account and management toolkit with configurable roles, including account and domain permissions. Their pricing is somewhat higher, but they have a solid reputation for reliability.

Rebel.com and Grape.ca are other Canadian options to investigate, though I haven’t confirmed whether either one supports the exact billing and user-role separation you need. EasyDNS is also Canadian and has excellent support, but its permission model may not meet the requirement.
