I'll be attending AWS re:Invent for the first time as an All Builders Welcome grant recipient and am excited to take part. I'd love to meet other grant recipients, first-time attendees, and people interested in cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, infrastructure, and software engineering. I'm also looking for advice from anyone who has attended before: Which sessions and activities are most worthwhile? How early should I reserve sessions? What's the best way to travel between venues, and what should I bring? I'd especially appreciate recommendations for workshops, networking events, and community meetups, along with anything you wish you had known before your first event.

Congratulations! Plan your sessions as early as registration allows, but don’t fill every minute. Leave room for networking, exploring, workshops, and unexpected conversations. Comfortable shoes are essential since you’ll be walking between venues a lot.
I’m also attending for the first time after receiving an All Builders Welcome grant. It would be great to connect with other recipients and compare plans before the event.
I accepted my grant about two weeks ago but haven’t received the next-step details yet. Has anyone else experienced a delay? One thing to check is whether you completed event registration through the official link provided with the grant.

Thanks! Registration opens on October 6, so I’m planning to build my schedule as soon as it’s available.
