Help me refine my first gaming PC build for 1440p gaming

I'm ready to move from console to PC and want a system mainly for gaming and everyday tasks. I'll be playing Call of Duty, Fortnite, Destiny, Valorant, DayZ, sports games, and occasional simulation titles such as Cities: Skylines. I'd also like enough performance to play GTA 6 if it eventually releases on PC. My target is 1440p gaming at roughly 144 FPS, and I already own an ASUS 165 Hz monitor that I plan to keep.

I may also do some basic 3D modeling for 3D printing, although that is not essential. My current parts list includes a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RX 9070 XT, 32 GB of DDR5-6000 memory, a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, an X870 motherboard, an 850 W power supply, and a 1440p-focused cooling and airflow setup. The estimated total is about $2,755 including Windows. Are any components unnecessarily expensive, poorly matched, or worth replacing with better-value alternatives?

Several parts are priced far above what they need to cost. A less expensive B-series motherboard, reasonably priced 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30 memory, and a higher-endurance PCIe 4.0 SSD would make more sense. The 7800X3D and RX 9070 XT are already a strong combination for 1440p, so there is no need to overspend on the platform around them. An 850 W Gold power supply is plenty, assuming it is a reputable model.

You can save roughly $200 while upgrading to a 9800X3D by using a cheaper B850 motherboard, lower-cost white DDR5-6000 CL30 memory, a better-spec 2 TB NVMe drive, a less expensive white RX 9070 XT, and a more affordable airflow-focused case. The 9800X3D is one of the fastest gaming processors and is also somewhat better for general productivity, though the extra cost over the 7800X3D may not be worthwhile if gaming is the priority. Either CPU should pair well with this graphics card for 1440p gaming.

The motherboard is the biggest easy cut. An X870 board offers features most gaming builds will never use, so a good B650 or B850 model should provide essentially the same gaming performance for much less. You also appear to be paying an unusually high price for the memory. DDR5-6000 with lower latency, such as CL30, is a better target if it is available at a normal price.
