I uninstalled Brave and installed it again on Linux Mint, but it reopened with all of my previous settings and data. Where are Brave's user files stored, and what is the safest way to remove the browser along with its preferences, cache, and profile data?

A command such as `rm -rf ~/.config/Brave-browser` may remove the profile, but verify the directory name first because Brave commonly uses a path under `~/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser`. Be very careful with `rm -rf`, and avoid broad wildcards or deleting system directories.
Uninstalling the package usually removes only the program files, not anything stored in your home directory. Close Brave completely, then check for and remove its user-data directories, such as ~/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser and ~/.cache/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser. You may also want to check ~/.local/share for Brave-related folders.
The exact cleanup depends on how Brave was installed. Remove it using the same tool you used to install it—such as apt, Flatpak, or Snap—and then remove the corresponding Brave data from your home directory. Flatpak and Snap installations can keep their own separate user-data directories.
