I have a Nox Lite 010 case and want to install three additional fans, but the front panel is mostly closed, with only a small opening underneath and narrow side vents for intake. Is there a safe way to remove or modify the front panel to improve airflow, or is replacing the case realistically the best option? The system was originally built by a friend, so I'd prefer not to replace or permanently alter the case if possible.

You could improve airflow by drilling or cutting ventilation holes into the front panel, but that would permanently modify the case and could leave rough edges or weaken the panel. I wouldn’t do that unless you own the case and are comfortable with DIY modifications.
If removing the panel, modifying it, and replacing the case are all off the table, there isn’t much else to change. You can still use the case as-is and monitor temperatures, but the restricted front intake will limit how effective extra front fans can be.
That case’s front intake is very restricted, so adding fans behind the panel probably won’t make a major difference. The practical long-term solution is moving the components into a case with a mesh front and better ventilation.
I’d rather avoid changing cases since it was built by a friend, but it sounds like replacement may be the only reliable option.
I considered adding holes, but I don’t want to damage a case that isn’t mine or suggest that my friend modify it.
