I'm looking to explore ways to remotely manage BIOS settings for about 3,000 active computers. My manager asked me to investigate possible methods since we have nothing pre-configured in our imaging process. I know Dell has a solution, but our security team rejected it due to agent installation requirements. I'm curious if anyone has effective alternatives or methods that allow for on-the-fly BIOS changes without needing to install additional software. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Aside from Dell, true BIOS management options are quite limited. I was looking into some other manufacturers, and Impero's Intel vPro and Firmguard SecureConfig came up, but I have no experience with them. Also, unless your security team trusts other agents, your options might be even narrower. It's really worth finding out which vendors they actually do trust—good luck!
If you’re using laptops, most support managing settings through WMI. There's a solid PowerShell tutorial on how to view and change BIOS settings that might come in handy.
