I installed a font on Windows 11, and now text on many websites is displaying in that font. I want to uninstall it or stop it from being used, but Windows says the font is currently in use. The usual instructions refer to older Control Panel options that are no longer available, and I cannot find a way to access font properties or delete the file. Is there a straightforward way to identify what is using the font and remove it?

If the font was installed recently and you cannot identify the setting that changed, System Restore could return the system to a point from before the installation. That is more drastic than simply uninstalling the font, so it is best treated as a fallback rather than the first step.
First change the setting that selected the font back to the original or default font. Check the browser’s appearance or font settings, along with any Windows personalization or accessibility settings. Once nothing is configured to use it, open Settings > Personalization > Fonts, select the font, and use the uninstall option. Windows may refuse to remove a font while an application is actively using it.
How can I tell which application or setting is currently using the font?

Do I really need to use System Restore just to remove one font?
