How Can I Restore Bluetooth on a Windows 11 Laptop?

I'm using my mom's Windows 11 laptop while on vacation. I removed the Bluetooth icon from the taskbar because it was annoying, but I didn't intentionally uninstall Bluetooth. Now the laptop says Bluetooth isn't available, and installing a Bluetooth manager from the Microsoft Store didn't help. How can I restore or reinstall the Bluetooth function?

Open Device Manager by pressing Win + X and selecting Device Manager. Check whether there’s a Bluetooth section or any related device listed. If it’s missing, open the View menu and enable Show hidden devices. A faded Bluetooth device may still appear there; you can remove it and restart the laptop.

In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth and find the adapter. Right-click it and choose Uninstall device, but don’t select the option to delete the driver. Restart the laptop afterward, and Windows should detect the Bluetooth chipset and install it again automatically.
