I moved my Documents folder out of OneDrive while trying to get a game running, and afterward some programs could no longer find it. I tried moving it back into OneDrive, but the problem remains. The Documents location currently appears as "OneDrive - Personal - Documents," while some files show paths containing Chinese characters before the application folder name. The Location tab is also missing from the folder's Properties, and I noticed a Chinese-named entry in Registry Editor. What is the safest way to restore the correct Documents path without losing my files?

If the Location tab is missing, the known-folder registry values may have been altered or the folder may no longer be recognized correctly. First confirm the exact physical folder path in File Explorer and make sure the destination exists. Back up the files before making registry changes, then repair only the Documents known-folder setting rather than changing unrelated entries. A Windows repair or creating a fresh Documents folder and moving the files back may be safer than guessing at registry values.
Windows may still have the Documents known-folder path pointed at an old or incorrect location. Don’t change random registry values yet, especially if you aren’t sure what the Chinese-named entry represents. Normally, you would right-click Documents, open Properties, select Location, and choose Restore Default. If you want Documents stored in OneDrive, make sure OneDrive’s Documents backup is enabled and use the actual OneDrive Documents folder as the destination.

The Location tab isn’t available. The current path looks like OneDrive - Personal - Documents, but some PNG files show a path with Chinese characters between Personal and the application folder. I’m not sure whether that is the real folder name or an incorrect setting.
