How well does Star Wars: Zero Company run at 3440×1440?

I'm considering buying Star Wars: Zero Company, but I've seen quite a few reports about performance problems and stuttering. My system has an i7-14700K, an RTX 4070 Super, and 64 GB of DDR4 RAM, and I'd be playing at 3440×1440 on ultra settings. How is the performance for others with similar hardware? Are DLSS or frame generation necessary, and do the patches make a noticeable difference? Update: I bought it and it's running well so far. At ultra settings with DLSS on Balanced and frame generation enabled, I'm getting around 118 FPS in the first mission, with some minor dips.

Performance seems inconsistent across different systems. I’m having trouble holding 60 FPS at 4K on High, with frequent drops below that despite using a powerful setup. At your resolution, Low to Medium settings should be safe, while High or Ultra may require some tuning.

It’s playable, but the optimization still needs work. On a high-end system at 4K with everything maxed and DLSS enabled, I’m seeing around 80 FPS, along with occasional stutters. The game itself is excellent, so hopefully future patches smooth things out.

I’m seeing something similar with an even faster graphics card and 64 GB of RAM. I get roughly 120 FPS, but the occasional stutter makes it feel like the issue is mostly optimization.

It runs fine for me overall, though there’s a bit of stuttering. Since it’s a turn-based game, the issue isn’t disastrous, and the gameplay is good enough that I’m willing to tolerate it until the developers release optimization patches.

Your RTX 4070 Super should handle it well, especially with DLSS and frame generation enabled. At 3440×1440, ultra settings can still cause dips, so dropping a few options to High may give you more consistent frame pacing than chasing the highest possible settings.

I’ll try switching to High if the dips become distracting. So far, DLSS Balanced and frame generation have kept the performance in a good place.
