My Apple devices suddenly stopped loading several iCloud-related services. I'm also getting a verification or server connection error when I try to sign in through a web browser. Photos, files, Mail, Notes, Reminders, and other iCloud features seem to be affected, so I'm worried something might be wrong with my account or that my data has disappeared. Is anyone else seeing this, and is there a confirmed outage?

I’m seeing the same thing with Photos and iCloud Drive. High-resolution images and videos won’t download, and some files return an NSFileProviderErrorDomain error -5009. Several people are also unable to open documents or use iCloud Mail, so it’s likely part of the same service problem.
The service-status page may take a little while to reflect a developing outage. It initially showed everything as operational, but later listed multiple affected services. If the page still looks normal, that doesn’t necessarily mean the issue is isolated to your device.
Some services are beginning to recover for me. Photos started showing my library again and the browser login worked briefly afterward, although syncing is still inconsistent. Seeing zero photos or storage temporarily doesn’t necessarily mean anything was deleted—wait for the outage to clear before making changes, and consider keeping another backup of important photos and files once access returns.
Yes, this appears to be a widespread iCloud outage rather than an issue with your account or home network. Reports mention problems with iCloud.com, Photos, Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Find My, Game Center, iWork, and document access. Apple’s support team is aware and engineers are working on it, so repeatedly changing your password or troubleshooting DNS probably won’t help right now.

That’s reassuring. I was especially worried because Photos briefly showed no media at all, but I’ll wait until syncing finishes before assuming anything is missing.
