Is This $1,700 Gaming PC Build Worth It for Dual 1080p Monitors?

I'm planning my second gaming PC after my first build, a Ryzen 7 2700X with an RTX 2060 and 16GB of DDR4, eventually failed. I originally built that system for about $950, but parts are much more expensive where I live now. My proposed build is a Ryzen 5 7500F, Gigabyte B650M Gaming WiFi motherboard, 32GB of Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-5600, a Galax RTX 5070 EX Gamer 12GB, a SAMA G750 750W 80+ Gold PCIe 5.0 power supply, and a TeamGroup MP33 Pro Gen3 NVMe SSD. The total comes to roughly $1,700 USD, which is already pushing my strict budget. I'll continue using my two existing 1080p monitors for now, since I can't afford a 1440p display yet. Is this a sensible build for gaming, or am I overspending or choosing the wrong parts?

If possible, diagnose the old PC before replacing everything. You may be able to reuse parts, although it sounds like the motherboard, memory, power supply, and graphics card have already failed at different times. If the old system was also struggling badly in modern games, rebuilding makes sense. For the new system, consider DDR5-6000 with decent timings if the price difference is small, and verify that the power supply is a reputable model with good independent reviews.

The old machine has had multiple failures, and the graphics card is currently dead. Even before that, modern games ran poorly at very low settings, so I’m not especially interested in putting more money into it.

The build itself is compatible and should work well. The main things I’d double-check are the exact SSD and power-supply models, since budget parts can vary considerably in quality. Also make sure the case has adequate airflow and that the motherboard BIOS supports the 7500F. You don’t need a 1440p monitor immediately; you can run your current displays now and upgrade later without changing the core system.
