I'm putting together a gaming PC in Australia with a budget of about $1,912 AUD. The planned parts are a Ryzen 5 7500F, Thermalright Assassin X 120 SE cooler, Gigabyte B650 Wi-Fi motherboard, Radeon RX 9070 16GB, 32GB of DDR5-6000 CL30 memory, a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, an MSI MAG A750GL 750W 80+ Gold fully modular power supply, and a Montech Air 903 Max case. Is this a good deal for the money, and would these parts work well together? I'd also appreciate any advice for building the system, including whether I should upgrade the graphics card or power supply.

The MSI MAG A750GL is a much more important detail than the 80+ Gold label. Gold mainly describes efficiency, not overall build quality, so checking the exact model is smart. This unit should be suitable, although an 850W model could provide extra headroom for future upgrades such as a higher-end CPU, additional drives, or a more power-hungry graphics card. You don’t need to force the system to use exactly 50% of the PSU’s capacity, but leaving some reserve is useful.

That’s a very solid gaming setup for the price, especially with 32GB of fast DDR5 and the RX 9070. The parts should be compatible, and the 750W capacity is enough for this configuration. If the price difference is reasonable, an RX 9070 XT would give you a worthwhile performance boost, but the standard 9070 is still a strong choice.

The build looks well balanced. For assembly, follow the motherboard and case manuals, install the CPU, memory, SSD, and cooler on the motherboard before mounting it in the case, and make sure the memory sticks are in the recommended dual-channel slots. After installing the graphics card and power cables, enable the memory’s EXPO profile in the firmware so it runs at its advertised speed. A video build guide can help with the physical steps, but double-check every connection against the manuals.
