Is This €1,600 Gaming and Productivity PC Build Well Balanced?

I'm planning a PC build with a budget of about €1,600 in France. It will mainly be used for gaming, writing, video editing, coding, and occasional Manim rendering. I already have peripherals, so the budget is only for the computer itself. I'd prefer to buy everything from Amazon France, although I'm willing to use other retailers if certain components are significantly overpriced there. I'd also like the parts to have a consistent color scheme. The current build uses an AM5 platform and a Radeon RX 9060 XT, and I'm wondering whether the component choices and graphics memory capacity make sense for my intended use.

The suggestion to replace the Ryzen 5800X with a 5700X3D or move to AM5 would apply to a different build. Your list uses a Ryzen 5 7500F and an AM5 motherboard, so you have already avoided that older-platform issue. The 7500F is a reasonable choice for this budget, especially if the system is primarily for gaming.

For 1080p gaming, 16GB of VRAM is probably more than you need, since VRAM is mostly used for things like texture data. You could either choose a faster 8–12GB graphics card or consider moving to a 1440p display so the extra VRAM is more useful. That said, the RX 9060 XT may still be the best-performing option that fits your current budget, so compare actual benchmarks and prices rather than focusing only on VRAM capacity.

Do you have a specific 8–12GB card in mind that would perform better while staying within the budget? The alternatives I found on the parts list seemed slower, so I’m also considering the 8GB version of the same card.

There appears to be a good deal on a 2x16GB Corsair memory kit at Amazon France. A 32GB kit should be a solid starting point for gaming, coding, editing, and rendering, assuming the speed and timings are suitable for the chosen AM5 motherboard. Just verify the exact model and price before ordering because the sale may be temporary.

That’s the kit I’m planning to use.
