I'm putting together a gaming PC with a budget of about €1,200. My current parts list is: Phanteks XT Pro Ultra case (€75), AMD Ryzen 5 8400F (€135), ASRock B650M-H/M.2 motherboard (€100), Fikwot FX991 500GB NVMe SSD (€93), MSI MAG A750BN PCIe 5 750W power supply (€70), Crucial Pro 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36 memory (€390), and a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Eagle Max OC 8GB (€360). Are there better component choices or ways to balance this build for gaming performance and value?

The biggest issue is the 500GB SSD. Modern games can use a huge amount of space, so 1TB would be a much better starting point if you can fit it into the budget. You could add another drive later, but upgrading now would be more convenient.

I’ll upgrade the storage later when I can afford it.

For the Italian market, a stronger alternative would be a Ryzen 5 7500F with a basic tower cooler, a better B650 motherboard, 32GB of DDR5, a 1TB NVMe drive, and an RX 9060 XT 16GB. That kind of configuration improves the graphics memory capacity and storage, though the example parts list comes to roughly €1,300, so you’d need to cut costs somewhere to stay under €1,200. The RX 9060 XT 16GB was around €500, while a Ryzen 5 7600 was about €300, making the current CPU and GPU choices worth comparing carefully against local prices.

The 16GB RX 9060 XT is around €500 here, and the Ryzen 5 7600 costs about €300, so both would push the build well beyond my budget.

I’d look at replacing the SSD with a TLC-based model if possible. The Fikwot drive appears to use QLC NAND, which generally has lower endurance and can slow down significantly during heavier writes. It can work, but TLC is a safer choice for a primary operating-system and gaming drive. The downside is that a better 1TB drive may cost around €60 more in this market.
