MSI Modern 14 only powers on after waiting several minutes

My MSI Modern 14 shuts down normally when I press the power button, but afterward it often refuses to start again. The screen, keyboard, and other peripherals show no signs of power at all. After waiting around 10 minutes and trying again, it sometimes starts normally. What could cause this, and what troubleshooting steps should I try?

A failing battery, charging circuit, power button, or motherboard component could cause this behavior. If the issue keeps returning or gets worse, back up your files while the laptop still starts and have the laptop inspected by a qualified repair technician.

With the charger disconnected, hold the power button for about 30–60 seconds to discharge the system, then reconnect the charger and try again. Since waiting seems to make it work temporarily, this may be a hardware fault rather than a normal software shutdown issue.

First, make sure this is a complete no-power issue rather than just a display problem. If there are no lights, fan noise, keyboard response, or peripheral activity, the problem is likely related to power delivery, the battery, the power button, or the system board.
