New 64GB DDR5 Kit Worked for Two Days, Now the PC Won’t POST

I upgraded my system to a 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 kit for work and video editing. It ran normally for about two days, but now the computer will not reach the BIOS when the new memory is installed. The RAM lighting flashes, an orange diagnostic light appears near the top-right of the motherboard, and the fans run at full speed. I have removed the CMOS battery and tested each new stick individually in every memory slot, but the system still will not boot. My old RAM works immediately in the same computer, so the issue seems isolated to the new kit. Is there anything else I should try before assuming the new RAM is defective?

Check the motherboard’s memory support list and make sure the exact kit model is supported. Also confirm the modules are fully seated and installed in the recommended slots. If the old pair works and the new modules fail individually in all slots at default settings, that strongly points to a defective kit rather than an XMP problem.

The orange motherboard light is likely the DRAM diagnostic indicator, which means the board is failing memory initialization. Normally disabling XMP or EXPO can fix unstable DDR5 settings, but clearing the CMOS should already have returned everything to default. Try a full power discharge and leave the new kit installed for several minutes on the first boot, since DDR5 can retrain, but if it still never reaches the BIOS, the memory is probably faulty.

If clearing the CMOS and testing each stick in every slot made no difference, the kit may have failed or one of the modules may be incompatible with the board. Since the old memory boots in the same system, an RMA or replacement is probably the next step.
