My PC boots normally and works on the desktop, but when I launch a game the monitor suddenly loses signal and goes into standby. After a while, the computer crashes. It was working normally yesterday, although I've had occasional crashes recently. I've reinstalled the graphics drivers and run a system memory test. The GPU is a GeForce GTX 3060, and the power supply is probably 450W and around six or seven years old. The issue happens when loading Marvel, and I'm also seeing the error "GPUCRRESET TDR occurred on GPUID:700." What should I test next?

The “GPU reset/TDR occurred” message means Windows detected that the graphics processor stopped responding and attempted to reset it. That can be caused by a bad driver, overheating, unstable power, or failing GPU hardware. Use a clean driver installation, monitor GPU temperatures, and remove any overclock or undervolt. If the error continues even with clean drivers and normal temperatures, test the card in another PC or test your system with another power supply. The fact that it worked yesterday does not rule out hardware failure—components can become unstable suddenly.
The monitor going into standby means the graphics card stopped sending a video signal. Since it happens as soon as the GPU is placed under load, the main suspects are the graphics card, its power connection, or the aging power supply—not system RAM. A memory test does not test the GPU’s VRAM. Check Reliability History or Event Viewer at the exact time of the crash: Kernel-Power 41 suggests a power loss, while a TDR or GPU reset points toward the graphics driver or card. Try reseating the GPU and its power cable, then test with another known-good power supply if possible. A six- or seven-year-old 450W unit could be the problem, especially if it is a lower-quality model.
It’s a GeForce GTX 3060 with what I believe is a 450W power supply. The PSU is probably six or seven years old. It loads into Marvel and then black-screens, and I’ve been having smaller crashes for a while.
Before replacing anything, check that the GPU is fully seated and that its power connector is firmly attached. If the PSU has a detachable PCIe cable, use the proper PCIe cable rather than an adapter or shared peripheral lead. If that stops the black screens, it strongly suggests a power-delivery problem or a graphics card that is becoming unstable under load.
