I replaced my motherboard and power supply. The motherboard worked normally and its BIOS was updated, but after installing the new power supply, the computer powers on without displaying anything and the VGA diagnostic LED stays lit. I have already reset the BIOS, changed the display cables, and tested the new power supply in my brother's computer, where it powered on successfully. When I reinstall the old power supply, my PC works normally. Could this be a power-delivery or compatibility issue? My system has a Ryzen 5 4500, MSI Pro VDH WiFi motherboard, 1TB XrayDisk SSD, 2x8GB HyperX memory, an RX 5500 XT graphics card, an old Aigo Warrior AK 500W PSU, and a new Cluster 850W fully modular PSU.

The VGA light usually means the graphics card is not being detected or is not receiving power correctly. Recheck that the RX 5500 XT’s PCIe power connector is fully seated and that you are using the PCIe cable meant for the new modular power supply—not a cable from the old PSU. Modular cables are not universally wired the same, and mixing them can cause problems or damage. Also reseat the graphics card and verify that the monitor is connected to the card rather than the motherboard. A power supply working in another PC does not completely rule out a faulty cable, connector, or compatibility issue with this particular system.
I checked the connections and they appear to be correct. The PSU was tested by a technician and also powered my brother’s computer normally, so I was wondering whether the motherboard and PSU could simply be incompatible.
