I just built a PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and an RTX 4070 Ti Super. I enabled EXPO and PBO, but now the system won't boot and the motherboard shows a DRAM error. I'd like to get back into the BIOS or safe mode so I can undo those settings. What's the proper way to recover it?

Removing the CMOS battery is another option. Power the computer down, unplug it, remove the battery for several minutes, and then reinstall it. Follow the board manual because some models have a dedicated reset button or specific timing for the jumper method. Afterward, you’ll need to reconfigure any BIOS settings you want, including memory overclocking.
You’ll need to clear the CMOS so the motherboard returns to its default BIOS settings. Turn the PC completely off, switch off or unplug the power supply, then either use the motherboard’s Clear CMOS button or the reset pins described in the manual. Some boards require briefly shorting the pins with a screwdriver. Once the defaults are restored, the system should be able to POST again. Safe Mode won’t be reachable until the system can get through the initial hardware check.
