Whenever I try to open the BIOS, the computer appears to enter it normally, but the display immediately goes completely black. I need to disable Secure Boot so I can boot from a USB drive and install Linux, but I cannot see or interact with the BIOS settings. I have tried pressing Delete repeatedly, using Windows Advanced Startup, and running `shutdown /r /fw /t 0` from Command Prompt. I also tested both the graphics card's HDMI output and the motherboard's HDMI output, changed the HDMI cable, and removed the CMOS battery, but the PC continues running without displaying anything.

Repeatedly pressing Delete is unlikely to cause a permanent problem, but the firmware could have become stuck. Clearing the CMOS is worth trying to restore the default BIOS settings and undo any incompatible display configuration.
This may be a display-handshake or resolution issue that only affects the BIOS screen. Try connecting the computer to a different monitor or television. An HDMI splitter can sometimes force the display to negotiate a compatible signal and make the firmware screen visible again.
I tried a television, although it was difficult to use because the cable was too short.
I cleared the CMOS, but the screen was still black when I entered the BIOS.
