Has anyone enabled driver updates through Autopatch, or do you rely on the hardware vendor's tools instead, such as Dell Command Update, HP Image Assistant, or another manufacturer utility? I'm currently seeing Intel Extension driver 2.1.10103.24 install repeatedly and request a reboot every time. I also can't find the update in the available driver list, so I'm wondering whether it's better to disable driver updates in Autopatch and manage them through vendor tools instead.

I’d avoid using Autopatch as the only driver-management method if it’s already causing repeated installs. Vendor tools such as Dell Command Update, HP Image Assistant, or Lenovo Commercial Vantage are usually better for handling BIOS and model-specific drivers. Their update settings can be managed through Intune, and you can limit updates to approved or needed versions.
I use HP Connect to handle BIOS updates through Intune. For regular drivers, I generally only deploy them when there’s a known issue, a security vulnerability, or a clear business need. There’s not much benefit in constantly replacing stable drivers.
No—I keep driver updates out of the automatic update workflow where possible. The reboot loop is a good reason to pause or exclude that update, investigate the affected hardware and detection logic, and manage the driver through the manufacturer’s update utility instead.
