If both regions meet those requirements, choose the one where the exact resources you need are currently available.
Don’t assume East US 2 is unlimited either—it can have capacity constraints as well. Check current availability for the specific Databricks SKU and VM types you need, and confirm quota before committing.
I’d lean toward East US 2. East US has frequently been close to capacity, which can make deployments take longer and may require quota requests, especially for new subscriptions. East US 2 is generally the safer choice between these two, although capacity can vary over time.
