I'm planning a gaming and livestreaming build for Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p and 60 FPS with every setting maxed out, including high-resolution graphics mods and possibly Path Tracing. I'm considering an RTX 5070 Ti mainly for its 16GB of VRAM, paired with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and a compatible motherboard. However, prices are high, so I'm wondering whether a Radeon card or a less expensive CPU would make more sense. I've also seen suggestions for an RTX 4090, RX 9070 XT, Intel Core i7-12700, or Core i5-13600K. What combination would provide the best experience for max settings and livestreaming?

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the safer CPU choice for this game, especially after the later game updates made CPU performance more important. A standard Intel chip such as the i5-13600K or i7-12700 can still work, but an X3D processor is less likely to become the limiting factor in busy areas while streaming. If you are trying to reduce the budget, save on the GPU only if you’re willing to disable Path Tracing; 32GB of DDR5-6000 is a sensible memory setup.
If you want Path Tracing enabled, stick with an Nvidia card such as the RTX 5070 Ti, and consider an RTX 5080 if your budget allows. Cyberpunk is particularly demanding with Path Tracing, and even a 5070 Ti may not hold a steady 60 FPS at absolute maximum settings without upscaling or frame generation. Nvidia also gives you DLSS and better support for the game’s advanced ray-tracing features.
For regular Ultra Ray Tracing with Path Tracing disabled, the RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT should be plenty. One user reported around 60–90 FPS at 1440p with an RX 9070 XT, a Ryzen 5 7500F, maxed settings, several graphics mods, and Ultra Ray Tracing. Frame generation can push the displayed frame rate considerably higher, though it isn’t the same as native rendering.
The main decision is whether “absolute max” really includes Path Tracing. For Path Tracing, choose Nvidia and plan on using DLSS, with frame generation if you’re comfortable with it. For standard ray tracing, the RX 9070 XT offers a much better value and should handle 1080p easily. Streaming itself should also be considered when choosing the GPU, since Nvidia’s encoder and software support are generally convenient for livestreaming.

That’s really helpful. Knowing the Radeon option is strong without Path Tracing gives me a much better idea of where I could save money.
