I recently tried Q4OS and really like how clean, simple, and lightweight it feels. Can I use it for everyday tasks the same way I use Xubuntu, including installing applications with commands such as `apt install`, browsing the web, using office software, and running Discord? I had been using Xubuntu 20.04, but newer applications increasingly require updated versions. Xubuntu 24.04 feels slow on my computer, and Lubuntu was even slower. I believe the machine has an Intel processor, although I'm not sure about the exact hardware. I'm looking for something lightweight but still reasonably up to date.

If your goal is a current but lightweight system, Debian with Xfce or LXQt is worth considering. It is still very stable and supports `apt install`, while newer releases provide more recent software than an old Xubuntu installation. Q4OS itself is also perfectly suitable for normal use; just make sure you install a supported current release rather than an outdated image.
