I'm planning a gaming PC with a Radeon 9070 XT OC and am considering the Ryzen 5 9600X. What power supply wattage would you recommend, and are there other AM5 processors that would pair well with this graphics card? My overall budget is roughly $1,500–$2,000, but it isn't fixed.

AMD lists 750W as the minimum recommendation for the 9070 XT. For some extra headroom, especially with an overclocked model, I’d go with a quality 850W unit.

I found a discounted 850W Phanteks Gold unit. That should be a good fit, right?

The Ryzen 5 9600X should work well for gaming with that GPU. If you want the best gaming performance and can spend more, an AM5 X3D processor would be a stronger upgrade, but the 9600X is still a balanced option for the budget.

An 850W power supply is a sensible choice for this build. Make sure it’s from a reputable manufacturer and has a strong efficiency rating rather than choosing based on wattage alone.
