I'm building a PC and have settled on a GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB of VRAM, but I'm unsure which manufacturer or model to buy. I'm looking for something reliable and reasonably priced, and I'm based in India, where newer RTX 50-series cards are more expensive than I need. Is there a meaningful difference between brands or between two-fan and three-fan versions? Would it be fine to simply ask a local store for an RTX 3060 and choose from the models they have available?

For an RTX 3060, the brand usually isn’t a major concern as long as you choose a reputable manufacturer and the card has a proper warranty. I’d mainly compare the total price, warranty service, cooler reviews, and whether the card fits your case. If two models are similar, buying the cheapest reputable option is perfectly reasonable.
It’s reasonable to ask the store for an RTX 3060 and see which models are available, but don’t accept the first one automatically. Check the exact model, cooler design, noise reviews, warranty terms, and price. Brands such as Zotac, Inno3D, Gainward, ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte can all have decent models, so the specific card and local support matter more than the logo.
The RTX 3060 doesn’t draw enough power to require a large three-fan cooler in most cases. A two-fan model should work fine and may be smaller and cheaper. Three fans can run a little cooler or quieter, but they also add size and cost, so I wouldn’t pay a large premium for one.
Is the main difference between two and three fans just cooling and card size?
So there isn’t a huge performance difference between the brands?
